Your Time Will Come

Have you ever felt like everyone around you is succeeding and shining while you seem stuck? Maybe people your age or even younger are doing great in their jobs, talents, or passions, and you wonder when it will be your turn?

Social media makes it even harder. It shows people’s achievements and what seems like a perfect life. Often, it feels like a painful reminder of what you don’t have. You’re not jealous; you’re genuinely happy for others. You’re just unsure about your own path. You ask yourself, “What am I doing wrong? Why can’t I catch a break?”

Please don’t compare yourself to others. It only makes you feel worse. I know it’s tough, especially when everyone’s success is on display. But don’t judge yourself or feel embarrassed. You’ve come a long way, and you have greatness inside you. What’s inside you will blossom in due time.
I understand taking shortcuts or giving up when things get complicated is tempting. But remember, everything is beautiful in it’s season. So, don’t let impatience steal your precious moments and promises in life that are meant for you.

Instead, stay true to yourself. While you wait for your moment, continue to invest in yourself. Do this by staying closely connected to God, Himself, the source of all creativity. Let Him inspire you through His precious Holy Spirit. Continue to write those songs that have not been released, continue to write those sermons that have never been preached, continue to write your books, continue to dance, continue to do you, in your quiet place. When your time finally arrives, you won’t be copying others. You’ll be authentic, doing precisely what you were meant to do. You’ll bring a lot of greatness into a world that craves originality. People will see your realness and be inspired by your journey, filled with resilience, determination, and patience.

Your time is coming, and you don’t need to worry about how it will happen. Simply trust in God’s plan and His timing. He has carefully mapped out your life to bring out the best in you and let you shine in His light and glory. It’s not just about your efforts but your faith and reliance on God. For when God says it’s your time, He, Himself, will open doors, create divine opportunities, and prepare a path better than you can imagine.

So, my friend, hold on tight. Your time is coming.

  1. Powerful article. As you’d written, social media can put a lot of pressure on people. But not all that glitters is gold. Some people stage their lives, and we’ll do well to stay glued to God as you’d written. God be with you. 🙂

    1. Perfectly said sis. I have to remind myself the exact same thing… social media has its advantages, but there are so many flaws to it. trying not to get caught up in the flaws is needed on a daily basis.
