Wisdom Wednesday 🌿
It’s hard when life happens and people let you down.
Whether it’s family, work, or even church… the pain cuts deep. Not just because of what happened, but because now everything shifts. Plans change. Expectations crumble. You’re left trying to adjust, adapt, and carry on.
And if I’m honest, one of the hardest parts isn’t even the situation itself… it’s the battle within.
The temptation to change who you are.
To become guarded. To hold back. To “protect your heart” at all costs. To stop giving, stop trusting, stop loving the way you once did.
It feels like survival.
It feels like wisdom.
But today, I’m reminding myself—and maybe you need this too—don’t let being let down change who you are.
Don’t allow disappointment to harden what God has called to be soft.
Don’t let hurt silence the goodness within you.
Don’t let people’s actions rewrite your identity.
Yes, it hurts. Yes, it’s inconvenient. Yes, it stretches you in ways you didn’t ask for.
But God saw it coming.
Nothing caught Him off guard. Nothing slipped through His hands. And somehow, in ways we may not yet understand, He is still working—for you and for me.
Even now, He is picking up the pieces.
Even now, He is bringing clarity.
Even now, He is aligning things for a greater purpose
