The day between Friday and Sunday

Today is Easter Saturday—a day that sits in the tension between heartbreak and hope. It’s the quiet in-between. Yesterday, they I watched Him die. Their Savior. Their Teacher. Their Friend. The One who calmed storms and healed the broken. The One who promised life—now lay lifeless in a tomb.

Can you imagine the grief in that moment? The silence. The confusion. The ache of watching someone you love taken away so brutally, so suddenly. They didn’t know what we know now. They didn’t see Sunday coming. For them, Saturday was a day of shattered dreams and unanswered prayers.

And maybe you’re in a Saturday season right now. Maybe you’ve known loss and separation, and your heart is aching with questions: Where is God? What now? How do I move forward? The pain is real. The silence can feel unbearable. But here’s the truth I want to remind you of today—what the disciples couldn’t see on Saturday was that God was already at work.

Even in the silence, redemption was at work!

Behind the stone, beneath the weight of grief, Heaven had already prepared  a comeback that would change everything. And just as it was then, it is today—Sunday is coming. So please, hold on.

Hold on because God is not finished with your story. Hold on because hope is not buried—it’s being stirred, rekindled in the depths of your soul. Hold on, not because you feel strong, but because the One who conquered death is strong for you.

Scripture says(Psalm 46:5), “… God shall help her, just at the break of dawn!” The break of dawn is near for you. The stone will be rolled away. And He will come through for you—because God always does.

So if you’re in a Saturday moment, let your heart rest in this: the silence or pain of Saturday is not the end. It’s the setup for resurrection.

Redemption is alive. Hope is on the move just for you!
