In the whirlwind of Christmas festivities, it’s surreal how time has both flown and lingered this year. The days seemed endless, filled with unexpected twists and turns, emotions that hit like a tidal wave, reducing me to tears and……
Amid the Christmas hustle, as we meticulously plan every detail, searching for the perfect gifts, let’s pause. Take a moment to consider a gift not wrapped in glittering paper but shared in the quiet space between you and God.
This gift is profound, one that doesn’t demand attention or rewards from others. It’s a gift of self-forgiveness. Reflect on the emotions that have flooded your soul this year. Forgive yourself. Release the judgment, blame, and condemnation. Shed the weight of grudges that have held you captive. Bitterness has stolen the beauty of your soul; let it go.
As you eagerly wait to present gifts to loved ones, ponder the intangible gift your soul craves. What do you truly need? Allow yourself to receive that gift – a step towards self-healing. No material possession can match the transformative power of inner peace.
If and when you find it challenging, turn to Jesus. Seek comfort, for He holds the capacity to provide exactly what you need in this moment. Christmas is not just about giving to others; it’s also about giving yourself the gift of grace, redemption, and healing. After all God has already given you and I this gift through His only begotten Son – Jesus Christ, let’s receive what we need from Him.
Merry Christmas.
